DON'T LET THEM WRECK
OUR HAM BANDS
Broadband over Power Lines?
Don't let it happen!
BPL = Broadband over Power Lines
=========================
Hi ALL Ham's
Please pass this email on to all fellow ham's
Thank you all, this is Not a Joke!
=========================
There is a movie clip on the ARRL web page showing a ARRL Lab manager
driving around in his car with a HF set up, he is monitoring the lower ham
bands and the noise from the BPL is a an S3, as he movers around the area
and the AM to the PM, it gets a Lot lot, worse thro out the bands.
There was; at one point a QSO going on, and the transmitting ham was a
strong station but the BPL was totally wiping him out at a S9
This should not happen to our bands, old or new or even no- coders as this
will Affect all of us:
1.8 Mhz to 80 Mhz so even 10 Mhz, 14, Mhz
18, 21 Mhz to 50 Mhz and up to 80 Mhz
Will be affected.
Want to do something about it, you can file a complaint form to the FCC

Broadband over Power Lines is a
proposed system to use existing power
lines as a pipeline for broadband
signals – I.E. a
Way to access the
Internet.  While this sounds like a great idea since everybody has power
lines in their neighborhood please read
on to see
why this will spell an end to Amateur
Radio.
If you are unsure about this topic and
want some
 more background go the
 ARRL site at:

this, you will not
believe your ears and eyes. Now, once
you have seen what this will mean to you
as a ham, realize that this is truly a
time for us as hams to step up
to the plate and do the right thing...
